Houston, we have a sock!
While watching the end of Armageddon on Monday night, I finished the sock. It's a perfect fit! I didn't graft the toe yet because I was too lazy to take the cat off my lap, get out of bed and go downstairs to rummage through my knitting bag looking for my Chibi.

and here is a different angle.
I started the ribbing for the second one last night and hopefully will finish it before we leave for Arizona on Sunday night. I think I'm going to take the (fallen by the wayside)
Mexicale Ole baby sweater to work on while I'm away.

Stella, I am so impressed that you made a sock on your own, just like that. I finally got up my courage, took a class, and struggled through it. The end result was a great sock, and now I just blythly cast on and go. But that first time, I needed handholding every step of the way. I am looking forward to seeing your entrelac bab when it's felted. The colors should look fabulous. People will rave.

the sock looks great! congrats on getting thru your first. i've been thinking about making some heavier gauge socks for a friend who's always cold. can you bring it to the next SnB? i'd like to see if it's heavy enough for her.
