Have you seen these? The purses, totes and wallets made out of recycled Kool-Aid and Capri-sun juice pouches? They are SO COOL! (and selling on eBay for over $15!!)
Well, if you're feeling crafty... and I know you are, here are instructions for making one of your own. I'd imagine they would be fantastic for the beach... and I'm sure there would be envious knitters everywhere if you showed up to a Stitch & Bitch with one of these charmers toting your latest projects!
You can find instructions here and here. You can also make a matching coin purse. And just in case you need a wee bit more instructions, you can find them here.

Knitting Update:
I finished the pink crocheted shawl, Hannan. She is gorgeous. And I have no pictures, because she is hanging on the wall at the Tangled Web. I'll have to pop in there this weekend and snap a picture so I can show her off. I am also working on a secret project of which I cannot post photos of... so you are out of luck... again. I am SUCH a teaser!!
This Saturday is the PhillyKnitters Stitch & Bitch at Melissa's house. (Melissa of the Toronto knit shop crawl fame.) It should be a great time since we'll be taking a field trip to the Lamb's Wool, which is only 3 blocks away from her house.

I am totally making one of those bags - they are awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Very cute bags! I saw a lot of similar bags when I went to the Philippines: people would rescue trash to make these great crafts. Thanks for instructions!

Wow. I can't wait to see the photo of Hannan. It looks amazing from the close-up/detail photo. I love that colorway of the Zen. 8 skeins! Where is the pattern from?
