Yarn Over, Yarn Over... send STELLA right over!
I did it.
I mastered the dreaded yarn over.
"...but Stel. The yarn over? Why were you so scared of the YARN OVER?"
Wellllllll, flashback to my first project EVAH. I was knitting my first hot water bottle cover. One piece has 3 buttonholes in the pattern. I went to a LYS for assistance and the girl who "helped" me made me cry. Thus beginning the hatred of yarn overs.
But a little persistence and a big dose of "I can SO totally DO this!" and I successfully started the neckerchief pattern in the Last Minute Knitted Gifts book. I am using a deep, rich brown Kid Silk Haze purchased from the sale bin at the Tangled Web. This yarn is a dream. So delicate and so soft. I can't wait to finish it and wear it proudly.

oooh...that looks so lacey and chocolatey - it makes me want to run out and get some Kidsilk!

All that talk of chocolate makes me hungry! OH well. I hate that the LYS yarnchic made you cry! Why would she do that? I hate mean people! Your neckerchief looks lovely and cozy too.

Oooh! I'm making that right now with Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud...doesn't it go fast? I was surprised! The only thing I'm not liking is the k2 togs, are really difficult...it's hard to get the needle (for me) into two stitches, and the yarn slides.
