Teany, NYC

Last week, I went to NYC with AmyG to see Alanis Morissette at Radio City Music Hall She is on tour promoting the 10th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill, you can actually buy the re-release of the album re-recorded acoustic-style exclusively at Starbucks until mid-July and then it will be available everywhere.
We had been wanting to try teany (Moby's restaurant) for quite some time and this was a perfect chance. We took the subway from Penn Station and wandered through the Village and found it. (Though we did make a confusing pit stop at Teany To Go, which is right next door.)
We sat inside since all of the outdoor tables were taken. I ordered a Lavender Lemonade (very tart and fragrant) and AmyG ordered a Raspberry Lime Ricky (which was delicious!) We decided to split the tea sandwich platter choosing 4 flavors: ploughman’s (cheddar and branston's pickle), avocado and cream cheese, arugula and sundried tomato white bean spread, artichoke spread and mixed greens along with a side of the penne pesto pasta salad (really lovely combination of penne pasta, capers, pine nuts and sundried tomatoes). We ate our lunch and people watched for about an hour and decided we might as well order dessert since we needed to keep up our energy for all the walking we would be doing that day. We decided on the Chocolate Peanut Butter Bombe and it was fantastic. Chocolate cake with a light creamy peanut butter mousse coated in a light chocolate syrup. It was a decadent way to end a light lunch.
