Go Fish! Rehoboth Beach, DE

Gofish3Last weekend, Emmie and I made a spur of the moment trip down to Rehoboth Beach.  I was anticipating the chance to dine at Go Fish! once again. I had been 2 years ago when they first opened and have been wanting to go back again.

It was just as I remembered! Decorated with Tube Station signs like Covent Garden and Knightsbridge and dishes named for famous London landmarks.

I ordered the Traditional Beer Battered Fish and Chips and Emmie had the Trafalgar (Grilled Chicken Sandwich with cole slaw).

The fish and chips was exactly the way I wanted. I good sized piece of batter dipped and deep fried fish. (I am not usually a fish eater, so I don't know if this was cod or another sort of fish). The batter crust was light and not too greasy and their tartar sauce was homemade with just a bit of zing. The chips were great as well... crispy on the outside and soft inside. It often puzzles me how many places get french fries completely wrong.

Go Fish! Also offers a nice assortment of English Beers, though we both passed on having one with our lunch.

While we ate lunch, Emmie and I checked out the dessert menu and before we even finished, ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding to share.   Dessert was a complete dream. Home made whipped cream over a sticky, drippy, sweet and nutty blob of goodness. It was quite hot and we had to take our time eating it, but it did not last long at all. I would definitely go back just to order this though I might not share next time.  It's a nice step up from all the carnival food offered on the boardwalk and feels really sophisticated despite sitting in a booth in beachwear & flip-flops with sand up the backs of your legs.
