Happy Holidays from me to you

I'll be taking a blogging break for the rest of the year and will be back in January! I am cooking Christmas Dinner and New Year's Day dinner and need to focus on that, plus shopping and a few crafty things that I need to finish as well! I hope you all have a fantastic holiday and a peaceful new year. I'll be back in o7 with lots of food posts and book reviews!

As part of my event planning job, I regularly get to book business dinners at local restaurants. Since I live in Philadelphia and there is a never ending list of restaurants that I want to try and use for business, I usually send clients and customers to the city. Our office is based in South Jersey and, sadly, I never expect to find Philadelphia-quality restaurants in this area.

POSH is definitely a Center City restaurant with a South Jersey zip-code. I was pleasantly surprised at how hip and fun it is! I asked a colleague to dine with me, as I was scouting a new restaurant for a holiday dinner for management. They wanted to hold it in South Jersey this year instead of going to the city and it is my job to not argue and find what they want. I found it in POSH, a modern French bistro.

The decor is crisp white with splashes of color. Metallic beaded curtains separate an elevated, more private dining room and there is a full bar just past the restaurant foyer. On the ceiling of the main dining room is a relaxing color-changing dome. The menu has something for everyone, a good assortment of salads including Smoked Salmon Canapes for $9.95, a variety of appetizers including Baked Escargots in Puff Pastry for $9.75 and Baked Coquille St. Jacques for $9.95. Main courses include dishes prepared with duck, seafood, Beef, Lamb and Wild Boar. The desserts are plentiful and there is even a special tea selection including many special fragrant teas. The only real complaint we had about our lunch was that the French Onion Soup was not hot enough. Everything else was fresh with good seasoning and flavors. The service was a little slow, with only 1 waiter for about 8 tables, but I don't think they were expecting quite so many diners for lunch.
