Covet: Moo Pockets!!!

Holy crap! These are the coolest things EVER!
I ordered my first set of Moo cards from Flickr a few months ago in preparation for the donnadowney.Inspired! event.

I knew I wanted to give out a calling card and what better than to give out cards with photos of my favorite things that I took on them!
Enter Moo cards.

But wait! It gets even better!
Moo Pockets to carry the Moo cards!
Moopocket

I am DYING to get my hands on one of these!!! You can get them from Splatgirl on Etsy. She has keyfob Moo Pockets and even some that attach to a tote. I am TOTALLY getting one to attach to my scrapbooking tote bag!!

On the 25th of each month | April 25th Photoset

Heading to work | 4.25

I uploaded my photos from April 25th.

www.flickr.com
This is a Flickr badge showing items in a set called on the 25th of every month. Make your own badge here.

Of course, in typical Stella fashion, I read the instructions late in the day and did not get the required photographs (alarm clock, bedtime clock), but I did happen to take a shot of my MINI clock before I left for work and also Mr. H's watch @ dinner. So that is pretty cool!

You'll also see a self portrait and a shot of me when Mr H turned the tables and took a photo of me at dinner!

Enjoy the pics and I'll be better prepared for May 25th!

25th Photo Day

Well I took photos all day yesterday but probably won't get them uploaded until tonight. Working Saturdays is kind of crappy. It was fun to have my camera out all day (well mostly all day, we got really busy in the afternoon) and Mr. H was puzzled as to WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN did I need to get a photo of everything!

Can't wait to sift through them and post to the Flickr group!

Rolodex Cards

Before the Inspired! event, many of the girls joined a Yahoo! group to get to know each other before the weekend. Many of us particiapted in various swaps. I was curious about the Rolodex swap, so I join it.

We all sent them to the swap leader and she made a set for each girl and handed them out at the event.
The only "rule" was to put your favorite or most inspiring quote somewhere on it.

Below is the Rolodex card I made (thirty times!) to give to the other participants.

Now I have an excellent collection of cards I can flip through when I need a bit of Inspiration!

Photo Challenge!!!

Takepicturestomorrow

We’re snapping away all day on the 25th of the month for an entire year starting tomorrow. You can read all about it over here at Shimelle's blog.
Woah, this is going to be tough, but it is going to stretch me in a lot of ways!
How? You ask...

Well:
1. It will force me to take pictures (duh!)
2. I can practice my Photoshop skillz on said pictures
3. I'll be able to do some more photo transfer drawings (or Tiny Art as Kal likes to call it)
4. Which means I can play with my PENCIL CRAYONS even more! I've purchased a handful of colors that were missing from my kit that I received at Inspired and have been DRAWING. Yep, me! Drawing!!!!

So, Susan, Aimee, (Cathy?)... I'll be joining you tomorrow for the first of 12 Photo Days!!!

The world is just awesome!

It seems this commercial sums up my love for the discovery channel!
The summer is when I watch it the most:

Mythbusters!

See for yourself just how awesome the world (and the discovery channel!) is!

Where do I start?

The weekend was fabulous!
I spent Wednesday driving 6 hours from Philly to Virginia Beach to pick up Cathy.
The MINI Cooper was packed with crafting supplies and by 5pm we were on our way to Concord, NC. I was exhausted and let CB drive. A few small panic attacks later (rush hour traffic...eek!) and we were rolling along down Route 58 to 85. We made it to the hotel a little before midnight (thanks GoogleMaps for sending us NOWHERE near the hotel on the first try!).

Thursday was a free day for us. We got up early and waited to register for the event. We were a little worried that we were going to miss out on some of the Mini Workshops, so we headed downstairs to check things out. Before long, a line formed and we were on our way to starting a craft-tacular weekend.

CB and I got our cool Inspired tote bags, registered for 5 Mini Workshops and did a little shopping at the vendor tables before finding a CVS to print photos and a place to have lunch.

Dscf3723 Thursday night we attended the kickoff dinner with Pecan encrusted chicken, veggies, sweet potatoes and cheesecake. Donna introduced the teachers and I nearly choked on my Sweet Tea when Heather Bailey walked into the room!

After dinner was the first of 2 mini workshops: the first was a little flip book on a ring with ideas to jump start creativity. It was taught by Heather Ruwe who runs Scrapbook Bakery, which, by the way, packs their kits in PINK! BAKERY! BOXES! Hello? Resistance is futile when it comes to not buying her cute kits! Did I mention the pink bakery boxes???  I really enjoyed her class and the ideas she had for making pages were things I never would have thought of. It's now permanently attached to my scrapbook tote.
