While I was in Philadelphia for Thanksgiving, I was able to meet up with my friend Danielle for a girl's day out. We met in Chadds Ford for some Yarn & Fabric shopping, but decided we needed to eat lunch first! In the same shopping center as the crafty goodness is a
SpecialTeas Tea Room. We decided on the Tea for Two and spent some time enjoying the three tiers of goodies.
We each got our own pots of tea. Me: Lady Gray and Danielle: a russian red tea (I can't remember the name!)
Three tiers of YUM!
The bottom layer has the triangle sandwiches (yes the crusts are cut off!) Tuna, Egg Salad, Ham and Cheese, Salmon and Cream Cheese
The second layer had small cookies and chocolates!
And the top layer had shortbread and crackers with jam
We also got our choice of scone! We couldn't believe the amount of food that was served! After a great lunch and some catching up conversation we were ready to shop! We started in the store attached to the tea room and then made our way to the
Garden of Yarn and
Quilter's Corner.
I will definitely be back to SpecialTeas! It's a great way to start a day of crafty shopping!
i LOVE tea shops. when i was in england many years ago there was the most awesome tearoom there in the countryside. my sister started calling me scone-head since all i could do was eat clotted cream and scones constantly.

I love that tea room! Every time I visit Garden of Yarn (my favorite yarn shop in PA, NJ or DE), we stop for tea and scones.
